I am listening to Damien Rice sing "Cannonball". I was not listening to the lyrics until now when the song is almost over and the effect is kind of mesmerizing. I am not sure what he is singing about, but it sounds very familiar.

I am going to work on the new t-shirts for Missions to Moldova... I think they are going to be green, but let me know if you have other thoughts. We will, of course be making them available on cafepress.com, so you may be able to buy an overpriced one sometime soon (unless you are part of the team this year :)

It is hard to believe there are less than two months till we go back... that means that in two.5 weeks we will have less time before we leave then our total time in Moldova. A funny thing happened last year during the voyage to Moldova, the total traveling time before we finally arrived at camp from leaving Millers Falls was about 24 hours. I remember thinking that after such a long voyage, we had cut into our time in Moldova and that we would be leaving soon. Six weeks later there were parts of the trip that felt so long ago that they had already been almost forgotten. Amazing experience to leave home for so long. It was the longest ever for me. This year will be so much different.

This year, I can understand Romanian much better. In fact I sometimes think I speak better Romanian than Spanish (which I minored in at UMass). Last year I knew probably 50 words at the beginning of the trip, and was amazed at my inability to communicate. I do not really want to speculate on how different this might make the experience, but i will see soon.

Tomorrow is a carwash in Cherry Rum plaza in Greenfield. Please come and let us wash your car... I believe there will be cookies also. You can also come and hang out and help wash. It is very fun and I think the weather will be pretty nice for us.
